ABOUT ABOUT

This week PsYcHeGrOuND returns to Sullivan Room just in time for the FractalTribe network to take over the city along with a special opening set by Matyas and an extended set from the killer Lunecell!

Line-up:

Lunecell (FractalTribe/Sonic Beating, RI)
http://soundcloud.com/lunecell

LuneCell is Tim Howe from Eastern United States. Psychedelic music and fractal visualizations are his specialty. He's inspired by psychedelic gatherings and the fringe culture they manifest. Recently being added to Occulta Records, expect some new tracks in the near future. He's also part of Fractaltribe & Sonic Beating: Northeastern US Psytrance communities and is currently based out of Kingston, Rhode Island.

Artemis (FractalTribe, MA)
http://soundcloud.com/artemis

Diana Levy, better known as Artemis, a name she picked for herself long before attending her first party, is a woman on a mission; not just to make you dance, but, also to make you think. Coming from a background of classical violin and vocal training, Artemis took to the wide variety of sounds within electronic music, and began to experiment with them as much as possible. As her journey evolved, so has her music and her passion to create smiles and good times wherever she plays. She has joined forces with Tight Crew as one of their DJ’s, and as a coordinator for all ambient rooms at their events, very often both decorating the room and playing psychedelic downtempo beats. This has only increased the diversity of music Artemis plays, which previously included psy-trance of many kinds, electro, techno, breaks, dubstep, and house. She also works with Fractaltribe, Awake Productions, and is part of the Awakenings crew, working on decorations and artwork, making each event look as spectacular as the music sounds, creating exciting spaces for people to explore while at events, such as the various Subculture events. Through these special projects and many of her other gigs, Artemis has been able to transcend cultures and reach people from all walks of life. “I feel renewed and awakened in a way that I had previously never thought possible. This music is magic; teaching the body to move, the mind to listen, and the soul to let go. I hope to help my audiences feel this same magic I feel.”

Goatone (FractalTribe, MA)

He has earned much respect for his amazing Subculture series of parties, excellent DJ skills, and gorgeous decorations. Djing under Goatone, Aaron has played in various festivals and parties in the US, showcasing a variety of psychedelic trance styles. From progressive to true Goa, he’s got something to keep everyone moving at just the right moment
